Setting the Captives Free World-Wide ~ Breaking the Chains of Bondage (Isaiah 61:1)
God’s Road Map to Heaven by Way of Route 66 ~ Seeing Jesus in Every Book of the Bible
God’s Purpose for Adam
God created mankind to have fellowship and relationship with them. He made Adam an earthly king to rule the earth and live on the earth forever; Adam was given a wife, so they could replenish and multiply the earth (Genesis 1:2-8.).
God told Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam’s wife, whom he named Eve listened to the devil and ate the forbidden fruit; she gave it to Adam and he ate the fruit (Genesis 3:1-6).
Adam took a detour when he disobeyed God; he used his own efforts to be in right standing with God (Genesis 3:6-7). The only way Adam could get back on course was to do it God’s way. Adam’s efforts were not satisfactory; that is the reason God clothed them (Genesis 3:21). Adam was warned that in the day he ate the fruit he would die (Genesis 2:17), but he took a detour which led to severe consequences (Genesis 3:14-19).
Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden of Eden and they could not get back in the garden due to the sin of disobedience (Genesis 3:23-24).
God designed Route 66 to bring them back to Himself (Genesis 3:15), through Jesus Christ. God sent the Savior to take away sins. The first Adam brought death on every human (Romans 5:12); the last Adam, Jesus Christ brought spiritual life (1 Corinthians 15:45-49). On Route 66 you will see examples of the Savior to come. You will not see Jesus’ name. However, He is seen through types and figures, and a foreshadow of things to come; until He is physically revealed.
Since Adam represents the entire human race, man will not reign again until the end of Route 66; just as God’s plan was from the beginning (Ephesians 1:9-10; Revelation, chapters 21-22).
