Understanding What a True Relationship With Christ is

Setting the Captives Free World-Wide ~ Breaking the Chains of Bondage (Isaiah 61:1)

Understanding What a True Relationship With Christ is

Many times, Father God uses my clothes and other accessories to draw people to me. This particular testimony for His glory occurred by the earrings I was wearing which were admired by a lady. After disembarking the ship Sunday, July 7, 2019, Father God orchestrated circumstances for me to be engaged in a conversation with the lady who was a choir director in a church.

She did not understand, or maybe she did not want to understand why God allows the evil to continue in this world, and why He didn’t stop all these evil things from happening. She said some things that were disrespectful about God and I did everything possible to convince her to be able to understand that God is Love, and I said if He didn’t love, why would He send His Son to die for the sins of the world? (John 3:16)

I went on to tell the lady that God doesn’t cause evil to prevail; when He told Adam what the consequences would be if he disobeyed (sinned), the consequences would affect all living beings (Romans 5:12). The entire world became cursed because of Adam’s disobedience. That’s why Jesus, the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45) came to take away the curse that was caused by the first Adam (Galatians 3:13).

Adam was king of the earth; he had rulership over everything (Genesis 1:27-30). However, when he disobeyed God, Adam literally handed his rulership over to the devil. That is why the devil is called the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4).

To those who read this, you may have the same mindset as the lady I had the conversation with. From that, this is a way to get a better understanding of who this Loving God is: Ask someone who is knowledgeable of the Word of God. Or, you can do as I suggested to the confused lady, and to others who question God.

Ask God to reveal Himself to you, and I declare He will manifest Himself in the way He chooses to, that will absolutely amaze you! I don’t understand everything about God, yet I trust what His Word says (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Conclusion: The lady was a choir director, but she did not understand God. There are many people in the church that do not understand who God is. It is about a personal relationship with Christ; works will not give anyone eternal life. People are saved (born-again) by God’s grace through their faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).

A true relationship with Christ produces works – faith without works is dead (James 2:18-26).
