Understanding the Hidden Dangers of Casting Pearls to Swine and Giving What is Holy to Dogs 6-17-26

Be careful not to feed dogs and swine God’s Holy Word!

Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces (Matthew 7:6).

Holy is sacred- the Word of God- to give what is holy to dogs is a defeated purpose, because dogs were considered scavengers and unclean animals.

Pearls very valuable and precious  – to cast or throw away something valuable is like casting God’s Word or slinging it around and it becomes of non effect.

How would you feel if someone threw something of utmost value to you and they gave or threw it away. That’s worse than spitting in someone’s face! With that being said, how do you think God feels when His Word which is more precious than gold. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb (Psalm 19:10).

If you don’t know what you’re talking about, it’s best to keep quiet. I’ve been there and done that but learned and grew throw my experience.

This is very crucial; if the person/s are not receptive, the witnessing may be in vain. I have witnessed to an embarrassing situation when a person had another belief, and it caused a debate.

Others were around and saw the unbeliever arguing with the believer and he basically ripped the believer apart. They will trample the Word under their feet and tear you to pieces which is so embarrassing. This is the reason we should allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. He knows when the harvest is ripe.

Many times, I have desired to say something about Jesus in public and I kept quiet; other times the Lord would open the door and Jesus Christ was proclaimed! "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2a).

And having shod your [my] feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15). And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:15).
