Yesterday I was blessed to attend the Women’s Bible study teacher and her husband’s Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary celebration, which was a great fellowship with their family and friends. The Love exemplified through this God ordained couple is phenomenal.
They had been on the mission field in several counties for many of their married years. My view of this couple is this “They were put together by God” He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). The man didn’t go out on his own looking for a wife,
he was led by the Lord.
Example:
Abraham sent his servant to get (find) a wife for his son, Isaac (Genesis, chapter 24). This is what scriptures mean: In the Old Testament, Abraham was symbolic of God; his son Isaac was symbolic of Jesus, his servant was symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Rebecca was symbolic of the bride of Christ.
Men of God should allow the Lord to lead them to the woman God ordains for him to spend his life with here on this earth. The children of God are the bride of Christ, here on earth and they will eternity with Christ their groom.
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ And he said to me, These are the true sayings of God (Revelation 19:7-9).
Internet: The phrase "Bride of Christ" appears in the Bible and is often interpreted as a symbolic reference to the church or the people of God1234. It signifies the spiritual union between Christ and his followers, emphasizing their close relationship and the idea of being jointly owned by God.
If you are married and didn’t do it God’s way, every effort should be made to make the marriage work (1 Corinthians, chapter 7). To the single readers, please take this message into consideration, and allow the Lord to choose your wife; He knows who is best for you.
Remember this: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
All glory, honor, and praises be to God our Father for the testimony of a remarkable couple.
Grace and Peace.
