Remembering a great friend and brother in Christ whose earthly birthday would have been celebrated today, May thirteenth!

The reason I said his earthly birthday would have been celebrated today, because in heaven (eternal realm), there aren’t any birthdays; our years are no longer numbered, praise the Lord. While on earth we should make good use of all the days/years that God has blessed us with. So, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

Is it wrong to remember anyone who made an impact on our lives? Of course it isn’t. I remember many immediate family members (grandma, momma, sister, my daddy, nephew stepdads, uncles, aunts, cousins), and so many close friends who are no longer here. With that being said, it is nothing wrong with remembering loved ones as long as we don’t idolize them.

I remember people who never came across my path, but somehow there was a connection. I also recall the men who the Spirit led to write the Word of God. In reading the Word of God, I can visualize those people; because their writings told me who they were.

As for my friend (bestie) and brother in Christ, he said to me several times: “I wonder what it is going to be like to meet Paul, Peter, and others” Well, friends, he has met Jesus face to face, Paul, Peter and all the other saints, and he knows each of them personally and their names.

Praise God that Albert is in His presence. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Greatly missing Albert, our phenomenon teacher, on what would have been his birthday.
