There is nothing  more that I feel that could be written today, other than Juneteenth. Thank the Lord that we can continue to celebrate those who finally experienced “Freedom” in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865.

AI-This commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States. It marks the day in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the freedom of enslaved people, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It became a federal holiday in 2021.

Thank the Lord for ordaining this to be and the excitement of knowing that our Sovereign God is in total control. Some say He rules and He super rules; nobody is greater than the Lord God Almighty.

Whatever reason the people in Galveston didn’t know about the Emancipation proclamation in 1863 declaring that all slaves be set free, and why it was hidden, was with purpose. One of the things I got from this is the Lord exposed the wickedness of those held back that knowledge from the slaves.

I connect something in the Word of God that relates with my message, even though it is not a normal way for me to post messages, it’s only on the weekend that I post something different, but even then, there is a scripture that connects with it.

So, getting back to why God allowed this to happen, and what I believe the purpose is, this is the scripture that relates – God uncovers (exposes) evil regardless of how long it takes- There is nothing covered or hidden that will not be uncovered or revealed (Luke 8:17).

The greatest reason I believe that God allowed this evil to happen was for all of us to continue celebrating this national holiday, and most of all to give thanks and praise the Him for making it happen.

Let’s celebrate with pride and dignity what the Lord has done! Finally, some people are still enslaved to certain things, but regardless of what it is, true “Freedom” comes in and through Christ Jesus- Knowing the Truth sets us free, and the Son, who is the Truth sets us free indeed (John 8:32, 36).

Let’s celebrate our “Freedom”“Happy Juneteenth”
