Remembering a "Man of Valor”
Today our family is celebrating the life of the oldest male bearing our forefathers name of Patrick. There are so many things that could be said about our dear cousin, words are not adequate. Yet, it is an honor to write this short reflection about a “Man of Valor”
Our memories of Clarence Patrick and what he stood for will remain in our hearts. He inherited the Patrick traits for his strengths, beliefs, and integrity for sure. Clarence’s encouragement has motivated younger men to model (and us women too).
It was not just the men only, but anyone who was in Clarence’s presence always felt blessed. He was loved, respected, and appreciated by our family.
To those of us who are left, let’s keep the torch aflame, as we reflect on the wonderful times the Lord allowed Clarence to be in our lives.
Carry the Torch!
Let’s offer each other the blessed hope of seeing Jesus and our loved ones who preceded us. This is the hope- Jesus is coming to receive us to Himself, and we will be with forever. Let's celebrate with anticipation, while waiting.
Don't let your hearts be troubled (John 14:1-3)
We shall be changed (1 Corinthians 15:51-58)
We shall be caught up to meet Jesus in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
And to others who are reading this message, I pray that you will also be encouraged and have that blessed hope of being with Jesus throughout eternity.
