Cop Outs are Not Acceptable

Updated: Oct 1

The physical church is just a building that we go to for spiritual enrichment; to praise, worship and glorify the Lord in various ways; especially through songs, and most importantly, the Word of God. It is not for entertainment, selling dinners and so on.

In some religions the word church is also called the temple, mosque, synagogue, and so on. Children of God’s bodies are called tabernacle (house), temple. When we refer to our body as a house, this means this is a body of which our spirit and soul dwell in. But whatever words are used, as born-again believers we are to take good care of our bodies, especially since the Holy Spirit lives in us.

With that being said, I want to clear something up! I have heard people who are asked why they don’t attend church services say this: “The church is in me”  That is an erroneous statement. The building cannot be inhabited by anyone. We are the body of Christ, and we are

called the church.

If it weren’t for the children of God, there would be no church. The church consists of or is made up of born-again believers. Yet, all types of people attend church services. With that being so, why does the Word say; God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands (Acts 17:24). The Spirit of God lives in believers.

I pray that the readers get a clear understanding of what is written. Every message anyone posts that is led by the Spirit of God, is for the betterment of the readers. This causes them to grow in their spiritual walk. Many people do not attend church for various reasons, but God has other means of them getting His Word.

I will say that social media and other resources are used for people to hear or read the Word. However, when it comes to a local assembly, able bodies Christians should assemble with other saints. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).

From the internet- Abundant Life [A word of wisdom and warning]. Assembling is necessary for our strength and protection. We are to apply this verse even more as we draw closer to Jesus’ return because we will experience resistance to do so.

We build each other up, we worship corporately. Where there is unity, there is strength. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers [sisters] to dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1)

My words- assembling together with the saints is edifying; the demonic forces are restrained.
