Done with the troubles of the world

Remembering Beloved Jenell Collins

On August 9, 2024 (one day after her birthday), Nell had gone missing from her home in Gibsonville, NC. Some believed that she accidentally walked into a lake due to her impaired vision.

Then the news came on September 21, that human bones had been found in Chatham County, North Carolina.

The family went through some exceedingly difficult times as they waited to hear what happened to Nell. Finally, on yesterday, October 18, 2024, the family was told that the autopsy revealed in their findings that it was Nell.

Even though the family has gone through much heartache, the Lord strengthened and sustained them. Also, He used others to comfort and encourage the Collins, Crutchfield, and Williamson family, and all those who were family connected and held Nell so dear to their hearts.

I was part of the family connection and knew Nell all of her life. My words about Nell would be similar to those her husband (Ronald), and daughter (Rhonda). She was a good person, kind and gentle, and she loved to give.

In thinking of Nell and the challenges she dealt with, think of it like this; Nell is no longer suffering. And because she received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, she is with the Lord. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

May the precious memories of the years the Lord allowed Nell to be in all of our lives be lasting; especially for Ronald, Rhonda, and Nell’s siblings. May the God of all comfort continue to strengthen and sustain the family.

Please keep the family in prayer.

Grace and peace
