Walk Around Heaven all Day?
This is one of the most erroneous sayings when it comes to saints being in heaven. I had a conversation with someone a while ago and she said “heaven must be boring” I told her it was more to it than that. Many people have not learned about the eternal kingdom where Jesus will sit on the throne of David in New Jerusalem, nor have they learned about the saints ruling with Christ, according to their rewards.
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband (Revelation 21:1-2).
Also, she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west (Revelation 21:12-17).
Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel (Revelation 21:12-17).
The city is 1,380 miles long, 1,380 miles high, 1,380 wide. New Jerusalem is one million, nine hundred, four thousand, and four hundred square miles with twelve foundations. The city holds two billion, six hundred twenty eight million, seventy two thousand cubic square miles of space.
Tell me friends, how can anyone think so foolishly and say they are going to walk around heaven all day; and it is foolish to say you’re going to sing and shout and nobody will be able to put you out. That entire statement is absurd. Those who are destined for eternal security can’t be put out, and who is going to put them out, anyway?
When you get to heaven, you are not going to tell Jesus Christ how you made it over. This will be time for judgment, and if you didn’t fulfill God’s purpose for your life, you will be speechless.
So, He said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless (Matthew 22:12). This man did not make himself ready for the wedding feast.
This is proof of what the ones who made themselves ready. Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready
(Revelation 19:7). And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming (1 John 2:28). Stay tuned, you will learn what the children of God will be doing throughout eternity (ruling and reigning with Christ).
