Give Thanks to the Lord!

Although we should worship, praise and give thanks to the Lord everyday, most Christians set aside a specific day to assemble with others in praise, worship (Hebrews 10:25), and most importantly the Word of God which is the greatest form of worship. Why is that so?

The more of the Word we know, then we understand how to worship the Lord according to His Word, which is true worship.

It is the same with Thanksgiving, the holiday that has been set aside for families and friends far and near to fellowship together and enjoy the delicious traditional meal. Although every day is a day of Thanksgiving, we celebrate that special day in gratitude to the Lord. We should always acknowledge our physical, as well as spiritual, blessings we receive from The Lord God Almighty!

The Psalms are full of gratitude to the Lord! O’ give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136). This Psalm has twenty-eight verses and each verse says: His mercy endures forever!
