Happy Labor Day From the Two Ann's 9-7-26

Enjoy the last Summer Holiday.

A Labor Day wish to each of you, from the two Ann's which has two meanings.  

1)       The Holiday - is a day of rest from laboring -and also the last summer holiday. an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being [Synopsis!]

2)      Spiritual Labor Meaning

God rewards the laborers who are faithful. His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.” Enter into the joy of your lord. (Matthew 25:21-23).

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10). Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

3)      Labor day weekend - Two Ann's, and what? And Double fun!

It was such a wonderful time of fun and fellowship with my niece. When she gets some free time out of her busy schedule we hang out.

Saturday we took the train to Philly to the African American Museum which featured RUTH E. CARTER  AFROFUTURISM IN COSTUME DESIGN. It was amazing to learn how one woman was given the talent to design clothes for many famous people. The tour was absolutely amazing and quite informative. Thanks to the other Ann who made my day.

From the museum we strolled through China Town and checked out several stores; on to the crowded Reading Terminal as usual.

There was so much to see and buy that we couldn’t take it all in. However, a new soul food restaurant was open and the line was extremely long; that tells you something. We were blessed to get there just in time before it got that crowded and were able to find a table with chairs; there was so much food we couldn’t eat it all

We went back through China Town and purchased a few items; on through the Fashion District with more stores. I was having the time of my life. From there to catch the train back home.

O’ what a wonderful day! Since I don’t have children some of my nieces honor and respect me highly! They make me feel like a real QUEEN!!!

May you find your rest in Christ on this Labor Day – Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
