In continuing, I want to put emphasis on sports and how it connects with the Word of God. Sports was used as analogy of our Christian race, and there are many sports, games and other means of godly entertainment that happened thousands of years ago.

Who do you think came up with sports if the first place? Everything was initiated by God, it’s just that we are living in an evil world system where all the wonderful things God created for us to enjoy (2 Timothy 6:17), have been tainted by sin. Therefore, we should always be different and stand out wherever we go. The Lord has His people in all places, to be a light to those who are still walking in darkness.
Now, to the truth about sports and other things we have the freedom to enjoy. Who did think wrote about our Christian race is like a marathon? It was the apostle Paul, of course.
Striving for a Crown
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore, I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus, I fight not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).
Remember how some of the sports figures cheated by taking steroids and they were disqualified. Also, a runner dresses as lightly as possible; this helps him or her to get to the finish line faster. In the spirit realm one must do this: Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us [trips us up] and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1b).
Paul knew a lot about sports
When his earthly life was ending, this was Paul’s valedictory – For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearance (2 Timothy 4:6-8).
The meaning of the drink offering from the internet: Paul used the drink offering to symbolize the outpouring of one's life in service and devotion to God. It represents the total surrender and dedication of the worshipper, as the wine is completely poured out and consumed by fire.

Didn’t Jalen Hurst have crown on his head and the team received the trophy? Both are perishable. I believe Jalen Hurst will be playing football in the eternal realm if he is glorifying God on this earth.

In thinking about this message, and how God started everything, and what Adam did only interrupted God’s plan, but what God starts He would complete, He is the God of completion (Philippians 1:6). This is not only for the church, but it also has to do with eternity.

For the record- You will not walk around heaven all day. First of all, you will think where you want to be and it will happen, because your body will be glorified. Biblical proof: Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” (John 20:19)
As they sat down to eat, he took a small loaf of bread, asked God’s blessing on it, broke it, then gave it to them. Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared! (Luke 24:30-31)
