How BIG is Your Faith?

Betty A. Burnett

·       Christmas day is past and gone, but Christ forever lives in my heart. For the next five days, I am going to reflect on some challenges that was faced with, that started in September 2023.

·       When I wrote plays, songs were always included. So, because Facebook encourages reels, that was right up my alley.

·       Songs of how God kept me through it all; includes standing on His Word and continue to believe that by His stripes I’m healed. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). Isaiah prophesied this scripture and Peter confirmed it.

·       But more than that, Jesus Himself healed - And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 4:23). How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38).

·       It takes faith for this to happen -  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

·       So, my brothers, sisters, and friends, “Through it all, I learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God, I’ve learned to depend upon His Word” That’s what growing faith, or ever increasing faith is.

It's a step, by step process, but you can make it if you try. I thank God for every challenge He allowed to come into my life; that’s the only way to reach maturity. But! We must pass the tests, we won’t have to go around that same mountain, through the same desert, down in the same valley.

Thankful ~ Betty A. Burnett ~
