Is The Holy Spirit Our Only Teacher? 3-4-26

I have heard some people say the Bible says they don’t need anyone to teach them because the Holy Spirit is their teacher. That seems like a contradiction, so let’s see what the scripture means. This cannot be a contradiction. Why? Because there are people who have been anointed (graced; given the ability to teach). History- John is writing to those who are still babes in Christ and there were false teachers among them.
Do Not Love the World
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Deceptions of the Last Hour
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Let Truth Abide in You
Therefore, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
The Children of God
And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
Does this make more sense to you?
Remember what I wrote several times before; does it make sense? The truth is, that quote does not make any sense at all!
We know that the Word of God does not contradict itself, so who is lying? The Holy Spirit is in fact our Teacher, but what about Ephesians 4:11? And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.
Romans 12:6-7? Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching.
Take away- The Holy Spirit is our Helper, our Teacher but He also empowers others to function in that capacity. For instance, people continue to say Jesus is the Light of the world (Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life”(John 8:12), but Jesus said we are the light of the world.
“You are the light of the world……. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16).
He was the light while He was on the earth, the world needs to see something physical because we are in a natural environment. We cannot see the Holy Spirit, just as we cannot see the wind, but we feel the effects.
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8)
Brothers and sisters, my prayer is that you walk in truth!
