Piggy-back on How The Lord God Almighty Sees Us
Although God sees us as completely and perfectly righteous, we are in these bodies that are subject to sinning because we live in a fallen world. God sees us righteous because His Son took our sin upon Himself and we became righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Still, that does not give us justification to sin. That’s why we are to think more like the Lord and become more intimate with Him, and the less we will fall into sin.
Saints, we need to be balanced; because a tilted scale does weigh things [the Word] properly. From God’s perspective, everything is done, complete/finished because He is not confined to time or space. On the other hand, even though God sees us as perfect, we still are in these flesh bodies that sin because we live in a fallen world, and we live according to time.
The best way to explain this is:
a) We have been delivered from the penalty of sin. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life (Romans 6:18, 22-23)
b) We are being delivered from the power of sin; it's a process - Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:12-14).
c) We will be delivered from the presence of sin when we get our new bodies. For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens (2 Corinthians 5:1). For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality (1 Corinthians 15:53).
So, my brothers and my sisters, we still must give account. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God (Romans 14:12). Why? Because we fall into the worldly trap of Satan’s lures; he came to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). That’s why we should not be ignorant of Satan’s devices. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8).
Also, there is a war going on in our flesh [members]-
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members (Romans 7:23). And fleshly desires (Galatians 5:16-17). You must remember that Satan hates you and he does everything he can to keep us from having intimacy with our Father.
By putting yesterday’s message and today’s message together, the scale will be balanced. Through it all, God still sees us as perfect.
