Thursday, March 20th, I had a six month check-up on my right breast which was diagnosed with stage one cancer in September 2023. The surgical procedure was performed November 9, 2023. Because I had mammograms every year, I was overwhelmed when the news about cancer that had invaded my breast.
I had my first mammogram after the surgery, was in September 2024, with a good report. However, because this breast cancer seemed to have popped up out of nowhere, I desired to have a six month mammogram. And, without talking to my surgeon about it, she wrote a script for it. I was overjoyed that the Lord fulfilled my desire.
However, there were two scripts; one for the mammogram and the other for an ultrasound, if the medical team felt it was necessary. I arrived at the hospital and when it was time for me to have the mammogram, the technician explained that it could be a possibility for an ultrasound, which was not unusual.
When I had an ultrasound in 2023, it was because they felt something was wrong in my right breast. I guess you know how I must have felt. I kept saying to the Lord, “I'm trusting You” and “I’m trusting”
Once the mammogram was done, a little while later I was told that the doctor wanted me to have an ultrasound. “Boy, O’ Boy” but still trusting. After the ultrasound was done, the doctor came in and told me that she wanted to take another look, although it didn’t seem like anything was wrong; what was detected was multiple busy masses, but she wanted to make sure.
I was still "Trusting” God, nevertheless it was not easy. The findings resulted in me not having anything cancerous in my breast. The doctor was very thorough and quite detailed in explaining what was going on and she said it was necessary for me to have a mammogram on both breasts but once a year. Yet, it would be up to the surgeon to determine if the right breast should be more than once a year.
The doctor also said at my age I was mobile and healthier than some others who were the same age as me. I give the Lord God all praises for my good health despite of some diseases that are said to be in my body. I don’t feel sick; keep it moving on a daily basis, in health and prospering as my soul prospers (3 John 2).
As I end the story, this is very crucial for the readers to know. After my surgery in November 2023, it was suggested radiation treatments, but I heard THE VOICE of the SPIRIT say, “Do not take the radiation” and confirmation came a few times. The radiation doctor was not one percent sure it would be effective, and that was proof that I didn’t need it anyway. At my age, certain things would not be beneficial for me; they could cause more harm.
This is my testimony! My ministry goes on til my day is done.
Thanks for all the prayers!!!
