When I lost almost everything twice, it was given away, not sold. I love to see others blessed and opportunities arise constantly for me to give to someone; and my ministry does the same thing.
Even though the ministry is small to some (but not to God), there are ways the Lord reveals to us how to dispense His funds. Everything belongs to Him! Also, I give tithes to my ministry because the Word of God is spreading worldwide, and it takes money to spread the Word. Yet, offerings are given to the church I attend; since I am not a member, I’m not obligated to give tithes to them. God said the nation had robbed Him, not the people.
Both losses were to build my character – purging and pruning me to greater levels of faith which matured me spiritually. I am still growing!
I was a very materialistic person; I didn’t have some of my desires growing up, so I chased after things. Once Jesus saved me, everything did not change at once, It was a process of growing spiritually in my new life.
In other words, it took some time for me to learn that the more I sought after God’s kingdom and His righteousness that necessary things would be added (Matthew 6:33). Although there were material losses, God supplied my every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). The Lord also gives me the desires of my heart because they line up with His will (Psalm 37:4).
Getting to the point, I went through a school of hard knocks. It did not feel good, but it was certainly good for me, because it was God’s purpose. For forty three and a half years, I learned much and still learning and drawing closer to the Lord. I am so blessed and the law of reciprocity is working through sowing and reaping.
It is absolutely amazing how I live on what some call a fixed income, and the way the Lord blesses me with so much that it is absolutely mind-boggling and I get so overwhelmed at the windows of heaven being showered on me. God is good all the time and all the time He is good.
I can honestly say that my latter years are better than my former years. Although health issues pop up, they also leave because God’s Word supersedes every challenge, obstacle, persecution, and affliction.
I stand on the Word and it works, because faith my rises up and doubt must GO, in Jesus name. I am short in statue, but my spirit is tall. I rise above every circumstance because my trust is in God; learned how to lean and depend on Him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
My brothers and sisters, life is not easy, but being in a relationship with Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me.
