The Deception Behind Sorcery (Pharmakeia) – Legal and Street Drugs

Betty- Please be mindful of the time period. A prayer partner and I were in a discussion about the influence that drugs have on so many peoples’ lives and no family is exempt from it. During the conversation, the Holy Spirit brought to remembrance what will be happening in the latter part of the book of Revelation.

In a message a few weeks ago it was stated that Christians will not be on this earth after the third chapter of Revelation. Here’s the reason: God will take His people out of here before He pours out His wrath upon the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:50-58).

However, the signs of the times are everywhere. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:6-8).

… for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery (Revelation 18:23). The Greek word for “sorcery” is “pharmakeia” (Strong's G5331). The Greek word “pharmakeia” is the origin of the English.

Pharmakeia – (English word for pharmacy/medication (legal  drugs) street drugs that causes one to do things that are horrific; sorcery is witchcraft, they do all kinds of things, unthinkable things, including sex; this takes one into another world that is super dangerous and very demonic!

Although we are experiencing much of what is coming, it is not anything near what will happen in Revelation, chapter 18. The signs of the times are definitely leading up to the most terrible time in history.

Something similar took place in the book of Nahum. God sent Nahum with a prophetic message of doom on Ninevah, The Lord’s enemy. This confirms Revelation 18:23, how God will bring judgment like never before.

I pray in the name of Jesus that God’s people will wake up out their sleep and see what time it is, get real with the Lord and learn all they can to get intimate with Him, by studying His Word. Ignorance of the Word of God causes people to be ineffective in their walk.

How can one walk in holiness and righteousness unless they understand God’s Word?

We are positioned into salvation (holy and righteous), and nothing changes that, but walking in it is a choice and making the wrong choices do not have good results.
