When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
So, they said,
“Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”(Matthew 16:13-16).
Who does God say Jesus is – And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”(Matthew 3:17).
JESUS is the Word- In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word [Jesus] was with God, and the Word [Jesus] was God (John 1:1-2). This scripture connects with, relates to and support: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).
Jesus, Creator- All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:3). For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, dominions, principalities, or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist (Colossians 1:16-17).
God the Initiator- God initiated the plan of salvation; Jesus carried out the plan; the Holy Spirit is the power behind everything. The Word says all things were created by Jesus; Genesis 1:1, says God created, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). What does that tell us? It is proof that Jesus is God, but He was also God in the flesh (the Son of God).
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Genesis 1:2).
No contradiction; PROOF - Jesus Christ is God!
This is what Jesus did for us:
He did not think it was robbery to be equal with God, but He humbled Himself
And we became greatly benefitted by His action of LOVE! (John 3:16).
Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:6-11).
Do you believe that Jesus was the Son of God (one hundred percent human and one hundred percent God; the God Man); that Jesus was God in the flesh; that Jesus is God.
