The Whole World Has Tested Positive for Sin 10-2-24
The Topic statement is consistent with the Word of God, in that everybody was a sinner- tested positive tested (past tense) · tested (past participle). Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned (Romans 5:12).
Sinned is (past tense) · (past participle). But many of us have been saved by God’s awesome and loving grace. For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Sinned or have sinned is the state the whole world was in. However, for the born-again believer, the test for sin is negative (we had a blood transfusion)- The blood of Jesus took care of all our sins. And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood (Revelation 1:5), and because of that, we are not the same; we have been changed. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11); we are new creatures in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
To the born-again believer, remember that you had a blood transfusion, therefore, you will not no longer be tested positive for sin, even when you fall into sin, and all of us do, that does not taint your blood because Jesus cleansed you from all your sins.
To the unbeliever, you are still testing positive for sin, but Jesus Christ is waiting to give you a blood transfusion, and you will never be the same again.
