Moving forward with how the Spirit of God led me to different churches. During many of my early years I attended a rural church where two families were the main members. One was my family, and there was several marriages between these families. One Monday morning on March 15, 1982, Jesus came into my heart. The next Sunday I told the pastor what happened; he told the church and he started praising the Lord.

I was there about a year but my hunger for the Word of God grew and I wanted more - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).

I asked my sister in law if they had Bible study at her church and she said yes. From that I felt the Spirit was leading me to the next church. After becoming a member, chaos is the only word that is befitting for what was going on. Mind you I was a real babe in Christ, and my boat was really being rocked, yet the Lord kept me and the thought of leaving did not cross my mind; at that point where could I go?

While at that church I was baptized in the Holy, with evidence of speaking in tongues. The Spirit would reveal things to me about certain people and I told them things that were actually happening or were going to happen. I did not understand what was happening to me. After being at thee church for approximately four years, a friend who had left the church invited me to visit her church; I went.

The experience was totally different from what I had been accustomed to; after service, in my mind this thought caught came “I am never going back there” Well. That’s what I said but the Spirit of God was saying something different. I started in the early morning prayer group and eventually the Holy Spirit led me to join.

Well, well, this was chaos number two, but the people were operating in gifts. They reminded me of the carnal church at Corinth (1 Corinthians 3). I began to see much that was out of godly character but stayed until my time was up for me to move back to Camden a second time. I was in that church almost four years. Shortly after the move I joined a church, but this was not chaos number three. Yet it had its issues as all churches do. The Lord revealed things to me and He sent me to warn some in leadership (this was part of the prophetic call). Everything I told one leader in specific; it came to pass.

After being a member of the church for almost four years, the Lord orchestrated circumstances for me to move back to Greensboro. I did not know what church I was going to be led to, but I attended my mother’s church. One day I was standing at the kitchen sink and the Holy Spirit spoke and said: “Do not join a church in Greensboro” I answered and said “Okay.” I also shared what the Holy Spirit said to a friend.

This is really one that will let you know that the Holy of God spoke. The church that He led me to was thirty miles away and I di not have a car. Some of these messages were written and posted before. To shorten the story, I became the pastor’s personal driver for five years; that was my means of getting to the church.

The pastor was a friend of my mother and stepfather. This one was semi-chaotic, no understanding of ministry. When it was time to leave the Lord had a door open for me to join the church my mother attended.

Ps. While living in Camden, the Lord revealed in a dream that I was going to a Baptist church; I thought it was the other Baptist church I had been a member of. Not, so! It was the church thirty miles from where I lived.

This was the church divinely orchestrated and appointed for me to go into ministry. If anything was chaotic, this was one for real! But God had a plan.

To be continued-

This is the church where I attend.
