Ready or Not, You will Meet Jesus- Don’t be ashamed when He comes!
This is the end of the mini-series about who we are in Christ, and it concludes with: “Are you prepared to meet Jesus?”
This is what I image Jesus will say about His nail scarred prints- "I went through all this for you; took on your sins!
“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced (Zechariah 12:10). According to the Word of God the nail prints on Jesus will be visible throughout eternity. This is to be a reminder of what He went through for us.
Please read John, chapter twenty to get a better understanding. The verses are about Jesus appearing supernaturally to His disciples and the second appearance when Thomas was with the others, he was able to touch the scars on Jesus. This proves that we will see our Savior’s scars throughout eternity as a reminder of what He did for us.
Something to consider: Jesus made a supernatural entry through thick doors, which means His body was glorified; although Thomas touched His body, which indicated that Jesus looked the same physically (tangible presence).
This scripture is similar to what happened when a saved person calls themselves a sinner; they were not prepared themselves because whatever came from their lips were in their hearts, therefore they were confused and did not truly know who they were in Christ. He became sin for you.
Like the servant /friend who was not properly dressed, you are no better than the man who was not properly dress at the wedding feast. “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So, he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless (Matthew 22:11-12).
Think of this way, Jesus could say: “Sinner, how did you get in here?” The answer to that question is, it was predestined by God for the person to be saved, although He knew what that person and everybody else would do all their lives. This really reveals “Agape” (unconditional) LOVE!
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints (Revelation 19:7-8). We are the bride of Christ and what are we doing to meet our Groom (the Lamb) to feast at the marriage supper of the Lamb?
You still a sinner when Jesus cleansed and made you whole? I cleaned you up! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
You should have told people you were once a sinner, but Jesus took away my sins, I sin or fall into sin because I am still in this flesh body that is affected by the evil environment, but I am not a sinner.
