Yesterday, I wrote a message about the prophet as intercessor. However, I felt the Spirit wanted me to start from the beginning of my call. This will give the readers a clearer understanding of the process and the progression of steps that were taken for me to get to this point. It will also caution you not to take giants steps, which will cause setbacks; this can be embarrassing and the person can become discouraged.
I have Biblical proof that confirms my call. Many people recognized my office/gift/call of evangelist, but it was different when it came to my prophetic office. This is being reiterated as to why the office of a prophetess is not recognized – most people do not understand the gifts; not knowing how important they are and the rewards both here and now, and in the eternal realm.
Since one’s salvation is secured, they are guaranteed eternal life; they did nothing to obtain salvation. But they are responsible for fulfilling God’s purpose in their lives, and that’s where the rewards come in. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”“Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”(Revelation 14:13)
I plan to start sharing on Monday and there are least five major experiences that will be posted, and prayerfully it will also motivate you to find out what your gift is and take the proper steps to grow and be developed into maturity. I did not recognize thee call; had no understanding of the gift except it was thought the prophet would speak to forth tell or foretell.
So, from the beginning of me walking in my call, there was truly little understanding.
It started around 1984, when a person came and told me what the Lord was going to do in my life.
Afterward, I had joined another church and the Lord sent a prophetess to me. She was older straightforward and to the point. She told people about the things that was going on in their lives, and they were amazed!
I said: “Lord, I don’t want her in my life” yet she was thee the one sent to help me get developed. We became remarkably close, even after I relocated to New Jersey (this was my second time living here). Whenever I would go to Greensboro the prophetess and I would meet somewhere and enjoy our fellowship.
Two people in Camden recognized my call immediately. Later during a fellowship at my spiritual mother’s house in Lawnside, I met a couple from Souderton, PA, who were traveling ministers on an RV. The next day, which was Sunday morning, I felt led to go back to Lawnside, where the couple was. The man began to prophesy to me; he said God was sending me to leaders to bring correction in the house of God; most of the time it was for the leaders.
When I met my bonus son from Ghana, he recognized my call as a prophetess. One Saturday, on a Zoom call that I was invited to, but there was no connection; a pastor was prophesying about me and my son would send me text messages, he said: “Mum, he’s talking about you. It was powerful; when the zoom call was over my son called and the pastor was on a three way call and what came out of his mouth. No doubt it came from the Spirit of God. I will bring this up in one of the messages.
Since 1984, I had been functioning in my call, but more training was necessary. The Lord sent me to leaders just as it had been prophesied. Some leaders were open to what was said, and others were not open for correction and warning.
The Lord revealed things to me in dreams and visions, sometimes directly from the Spirit; intercession and the gift of discerning of spirits are also part of the prophetic office. At first it was difficult to tell people what the Lord said; as time went on it became easier.
Next week, some of my experiences will be shared and it may just be that one or some readers have been called into the prophetic office (Ephesians 4:11).
