Covered or Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus? 5-5-25

There are images on the website that are beautiful, but many of them do not line up with the Word of God. For instance, one was sent to me about being covered by the blood of Jesus. Covered by the blood was an Old Testament way of divinely protecting God’s people with animal sacrifices, which was temporary. However, it took the precious blood of Jesus Christ who sacrificed His life to CLEANSE our sins, which was complete, which caused us to be permanently righteous.

There are principles we use from the Old Testament, which are beneficial for us, but when it comes to the blood of Jesus covering us, it is totally unbiblical. Whoever says that we are covered by the blood does not understand what Jesus did for us. He ushered in a new and new and better covenant –

You will not find it in the Bible that the blood of Jesus covers sins. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second (Hebrews 8:7). Mixing the blood with protection is not Biblical – it’s like mixing oil and water.

Facts:

Jesus’ Blood cleanses all sins- But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7) - (Hebrews 9:22, Hebrews 10:10).

Jesus stripes are for healing (Isaiah 53:5); this not for our sins only, but our physical bodies. All scriptures are all related, supported, and related to other scriptures-

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).  Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24).

Pleading the blood - I looked this up on the internet and some people have come up with different meanings. Yesterday when I looked it up again this is from AI: "Pleading the blood of Jesus" in Christian faith refers to claiming the power and benefits of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross to cover situations, overcome challenges, and receive divine blessings. It's not a literal pleading or begging, but rather a legal declaration, affirming the power of the blood to provide forgiveness, healing, and protection.

Remember AI is coming from a world point of view, and many times it has been on point. So, the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light (Luke 16:8). However, when it comes to “pleading the blood of Jesus” I totally disagree. According to what I have read in the Word of God, the blood of Jesus is to cleanse sins. If anyone come up with a scripture that says differently, please let me know.

Unbiblical Quotes are dangerous!- adding or taking away; possibly to make it sound more spiritual. This is similar to those speaking out in tongues publicly- they tend to think they are more spiritual, but what does the Word of God say? Tongues Must Be Interpreted (1 Corinthians 14:6-14)(1 Corinthians 14:4-16).

Angels are for protection: We abide under the shadow of God Almighty; He has given His angels charge over us for protection (Psalm 91:1, 11) That means if the angels have charge

over us, we do not command them to do things for us; they get their orders from God. Also, before we were born, we were protected. Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?  (Hebrews 1:4). The devil wanted to destroy us, But God had a plan!

Brothers and sisters, this is not to make anyone look bad, my desire is for all of us including myself is that we only say what is in the Word of God, rightly divided. Please don’t say what is not in the Bible. Mixing the blood with protection is not Biblical – it’s like mixing oil and water.
