What Does Salvation Mean? Upcoming Series after Thanksgiving
· There are three topics that will be posted, and whatever the Spirit of God leads me to write pertaining to salvation. Below are a few scriptures that will be included in the series.
We are “Delivered from the penalty of sin”
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins (1 Corinthians 15:4-8, 16).
· We are “Being delivered from the power of sin” For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14). He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13-14).
· We “Will be delivered from the presence of sin”
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope, because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body (Romans 8:18-23).
