When and How Do You Worship
When: Paul said the first day of the week. What about people who have jobs and cannot get to church on that day? I have always believed that God means for His people to be with His saints in some way or the other.
How: As God has prospered you (1 Corinthians 16:2). Wouldn’t that be a certain percent? Tithing is still a principle for today. The Word of God is not contradictory nor has His principles changed. The devil has influenced many people and they are telling others that tithing is not for today. All people saved and unsaved are blessed when they use God’s principles. In fact, those who are obedient are abundantly blessed.
I am a true witness of being a recipient of God’s overflow! When my money seems to be getting funny, the Lord uses resources unimaginable to shower His blessings upon me (Malachi 3:8-11).
Please Stop listening to all these erroneous teachings and get into the Word of God for yourself and start applying His principles and see what God will do. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20). I always tell of His goodness in my life.
Back in the day, things were different about attending church and the moral standards were higher than they are today. Nevertheless, when it comes to the Lord, we are commanded to abide by His Word, because His Word never changes.
Ever since Covid started, things have been spiraling downhill. People have been using various excuses as to why they don’t attend church services. Internet, Zoom, TV was for a particular reason; no excuse for not attending a place to assemble with other saints. That was and it still is for those who cannot physically assemble with others. Suppose you have a need?
Are the TV preachers going to reach out to you?
What about people who have jobs and cannot get to church on that day? I have always believed that God means for His people to be with His saints in some way or the other.
I did not realize the connection when the message was being written. My minister/Lil Sis friend attended a Pastor’s Installation service yesterday (Saturday) and
two of my nieces joined us.
We have been praying for the Lord to open the door for them to be in fellowship with other saints. We never know how the Lord is working.
It’s not as much about the day as it is the attitude of the heart. How do you worship the Lord?
I worship the Lord everyday with all my resources, a good steward of what He has given me to manage, being a blessing to others as He has blessed me. I fellowship with saints regularly in various ways and also assemble with them in the church; not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
