Forgetting Any Past Condemnations – Press Forward 11-2-26
Keep on walking and don’t look back.
In this final message pertaining to marriage, I want to encourage all married couples, divorced couples and those who are engaged to be married.
To the married - Continue to be strengthened in your commitment to one another and be the example that was established by God. When you face challenges, remember that your Father is the One who ordained for you to be together, therefore nothing will be able to change your relationship if you do as the Word of God instructs.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
Although this may apply to friendship, it also includes a marital relationship.
To the divorced, not do not feel condemned – Some may not have known how serious marriage vows are to each other and to God. Once you learned the truth after the fact, do not allow the devil to put you in condemnation. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Even though all of us fall into sin, we rise again with the help of the Lord (Psalm 37:24, Proverbs 24:16) For sin shall not have dominion [power] over you, for you are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14).
To the engaged male- Seek the Lord, and it will be confirmed to the female. Remember to allow the Lord to direct you. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye (Psalm 32:8). Please don’t forget this: He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). This means a man is seeking the Lord for directions and when he is obedient to His guidance, he finds favor with the Lord.
To the Christian Counselors – Having agreed to counsel some engaged couples, which included preforming the wedding ceremony, I stopped because, due to the Lord allowing me to find out that they were unequally yoked. I wasn’t received well for not compromising, but no blood was going to be on my hands. Sadly, I have personal experience of some people being counseled by pastors and they ended up divorcing.
To all who read this message, may it be of encouragement and prayerfully your eyes will be opened to the truth.
Blessings as you walk in truth and obedience.
