I hear a lot about the government and how certain things that are publicized have put many people in fear. My challenge for the readers today is to ask who are you trusting, the government or the Almighty Sovereign God?
It is evident that more focus is on the situation with the government than on God. This is what the Word of God says about trust (faith).
Did you know when you’re not trusting God, you are sinning? The Word of God says that whatever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23). You probably did not think about it that way. When we look at all the things that are going on this should move us more toward the Lord.
Did you know that without faith, it is impossible to please Him? (Hebrews 11:6)
I encourage you to take your eyes off thee situation, even though it is real, God is real, He’s alive and well, and He is greater than anybody or any situation.
Don’t you know that God can turn the situation around? Don’t you know God promised to take care of us. David said I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken Or his descendants begging for bread (Psalm 37:25). Paul said: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
He provided manna for the children of Israel in the wilderness: Then the LORD said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, so that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not (Exodus 16:4).
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20). Some people will read this message and still revert back to their way of thinking and talking. Maybe He’s allowing these things to happen to test our faith, which reveals our level of maturity. When we look at all the things that are going on this should move us more toward the Lord.
If people are concentrating on the circumstances, including the government more than God, they are saying the government and so on is greater than God! The Word of God tell us to look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Everything in life hinges on faith, and it goes beyond that, eternal life hinges on our faith in God; the faith that He put in us. That’s His Story!
