Honoring Fathers!

Updated: Jun 16

To all of you awesome men, this is the day that has been set aside to “Honor” fathers. It gives me the greatest pleasure to honor my nephews, my cousins, and my friends. I also cherish the memories of two stepfathers, two brothers-in-law, uncles, all other father figures in my life and,

my biological dad, the late Lacy Burnett.

Also, the precious memories of my nephew “Huck” who passed on May 23, 2024.

Many of you may be feeling some kind of way today, for various reasons, but I want to tell you that God loves you, so hold your head up and enjoy your day. When my sister and I were little girls, our father left our mother and us, but we still had a connection with him.

Eventually, as we became older, our relationship developed into a father/daughter bond.

This helped us forget all the past that could have caused bitterness between us, but our father proved that he loved us and we loved him. Although he could not make up for lost time, we had a fresh start with him.

Fathers, I pray that you have a relationship with your children, and if there are any past issues, ask the Lord to help you, and start just where you are, being the best father you can be. If you have been and still are bonded with your children, you are blessed!

Last, but not least, I give honor and highest respect to the Greatest Father of all, who is God my Father! He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: HOLY and REVEREND is His name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments (Psalm 111:9-10). The Lord God is THE Only One who deserves the title.

Enjoy your day!
