How Bright are the Lights in Your House?

You have seen examples of how the Christmas tree all lit up is symbolic of Jesus Christ, the Light of the world and how He left us to shine bright or illuminate like the tree. This week, I challenge you to truthfully acknowledge which house represents you.

And, on that note, as we about to leave the year 2020 and go into 2021, please do not make New Year’s resolutions that you are not able to keep. Example: If you are a child of God and you are still doing things that cause you not to be a light, ask the Lord to help you. Although none of us are perfect, the world is watching us. Therefore, we should not be a stumbling block to others.

What I resolve to do each year is to draw closer to God my Father; my sole desire is to please the Lord.

I purpose in my heart not to be conformed, or fashioned after this world, but I purpose in my heart to be transformed (change) by having a new mind set (moving from one level to a higher, more developed level of maturity) - (Romans 12:1-2).

That is not all! I purpose to continue to help others grow and learn what their gifts are, so they will fulfill their destiny. As we grow in this progressive process of spiritual maturity, we (our house/temple) will shine brighter.

Our houses (bodies) or temples are like the house sitting on a hill, where all who are near us can see.

The beautiful brightly shining building at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is a good example of how we are to shine. Which building do you represent?

Again, please do not make traditional resolutions that you will not be able to keep. If you purpose in your heart to grow closer to God, Jesus will help you. The problem is most people who make resolutions do not keep them because they are doing it by tradition and Christ is not involved. Let Christ help and strengthen you to whatever you put your hands to for God’s glory (Philippians 4:13).

This has been a wonderful week of sharing messages about our experience at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Now I am waiting for the Lord to send me on a mission to the Dominican!
