How to Live a Healthy and Long Life

The Formula for Good Health

In my last message, I left out carpal tunnel that had come from my typing; on my next appointment with the kidney specialist, he asked me how it was going with the carpal tunnel. I said “It’s gone” I speak life over my body almost everyday. Not only do I speak it, but I also do whatever is necessary to have good health.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Furthermore, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:21). This is a word of caution; speaking something and doing are two different things; we must put some action to it; faith without works is dead.

We must have the right mindset- As a man thinks in his heart (Proverbs 23:7).  What about, Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). How do you think Christ thought and acted?

This is also part of the formula - My son [daughter], give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put perverse lips far from you (Proverbs 4:20-24). Remember about the power of the tongue; whatever you speak is what you will get.

Using God’s formula gives us a long and lengthy life, because we are learning all the more how to number our days. So, teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

How healthy can one be? Only as much of the Word of God that is known and understood. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (1 John 3, verses 2-4).

It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that using the formula is possible.
