I have no bad days; I consider them adverse conditions, but that do not make it a bad day. Every day the Lord makes is a good day. All good things come God, including the days (Genesis 1:31, James 1:17) therefore despite my circumstances, I don’t complain.

I heard this a few weeks ago and it has stuck with me (unforgettable), when telling someone what is going on with me. This is what I say: “Just explaining, not complaining. This means that there is an adverse effect either in my body or some attack. Being realistic is the best way to put it, yet without complaining.

In the last two weeks afflictions came which is not unusual being a child of God, but sometimes the afflictions can be severe and overwhelming. But through it all, I don’t complain. After explaining the afflictions, what comes out of my mouth is: “I am doing absolutely wonderful!!” I am being real, but faith words are added to what is actually happening in my body.

Friends, this is how I walk in victory, despite my circumstances:

1)      Since we are living in a sinful world, it affects us; diseases and other afflictions come; however, what we speak from our lips determines how we rise above every circumstances.

2)      I honestly believe in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24, that by Jesus’ stripes I am healed. My experiences of the various afflictions and how I rose and still rise above each of them regardless of the numerous of the severity of the afflictions. The Word of God clearly tells us that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers us out of them all (Psalm 34:19).

3)      I have been diagnosed with several existing health problems: third degree kidney disease, para-thyroid, high pretension, high cholesterol; seeing a surgeon twice a year because of breast cancer in September 2023; also, oncologist visits two times a year.

4)      If I rise above my circumstances at my age, do the work of the ministry with my writing and other ways the Lord has me serving in various capacities, let this encourage, build your faith, and speak life words over your situation daily. I guarantee you will feel better and be motivated to keep pressing toward the mark of the high call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

5)      When you hear it takes more to frown than it does to smile –A merry heart is good like medicine but a broken spirit days the bones (Proverbs 17:22). It has been proven by medical science that a happy person lives longer than a sad one. The principle is the same when it comes to what we speak from our lips- negative words are complaints that keeps us from walking in victory.

Remember how the children of Israel complained and they wandered in the wilderness for forty years when they could have reached the promised land in eleven days. It is eleven days’ journey from Horeb by way from Mount Seir to Kadesh Barnea.  (Deuteronomy 1:2).

6)      Please take this message to heart and speak life – “I am doing absolutely wonderful, despite my circumstances.” That’s what real faith is!  It is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen; without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:1, 6).

7)      As a man speaks that’s who he is (Proverbs 23:7a ). We walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
