Salvation could only happen through His death, burial, and Resurrection!
On Sunday, June 22nd a guest preacher spoke at the church I attend. This was in reference or more like confirming a conversation between two people and me a few days prior to Sunday. This is what was so interesting, the sermon was basically about how to witness to others.
Would you think that a church that old with long standing members, who had many ‘Quote on Quote’ missionaries in various places in the Unites States and on foreign soil, need a message like that?
He said there are many people from other countries and nations that live in the United States and the preacher mentioned the several places they were from in his church. The emphasis was being able to relate to people regardless of their ethnic background. Then he went to 1 Corinthians, chapter 15, sharing about the “Resurrection of Christ”
This was not in the preacher’s message, but it is in conjunction with what he was preaching, because the message was pertaining to being able to reach all types of people.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you (1 Corinthians 9:19-23).
First of all, Paul could not have meant that he could save anyone because would contradict what he wrote about one planting and the other watered but God gave the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
What in the world did Paul mean when he said he became all things to all men that he might be all things to all men, so he save some? Paul had to know some background of the various people that he witnessed and ministered to. It was necessary for him to be relatable. In other words, he met them where they were, and it is necessary for us to do the same thing.
It was this same Paul who so elegantly but simply explained about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If Jesus had not resurrected from the dead, everybody would be absolutely miserable! But, because He lives, we too live and we can face all our tomorrows fearlessly.
