The scriptures in the Word of God always relate, connect, and there are verses that support each other. It is plainly seen in the parables (short stories) how Jesus used them to bring about a spiritual truth.

Five bridesmaids- “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. (Matthew 25:6-13)
This can’t be true that the Lord didn’t know the five foolish virgins. The wise and the foolish were at the Judgment Seat of Christ. No one can get rewarded by someone else’s work, called to do your own work.
Each Christian has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, so then each of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12). What does it mean for the door to be shut? They did not receive rewards because they never fulfilled God’s purpose for their lives; therefore, they will not rule with Jesus.
Lazy servant- “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed. So, you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So, take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents.
For everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth’ (Matthew 25:30). Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ (Matthew 22:13) Did Jesus call the servant a sinner? No! The servant was UNPROFITABLE! He didn’t produce anything.
Wicked- unsaved: The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Matthew 13:41-43).
There is a vast difference between “outer darkness” and the “furnace of fire”- One means the born again did not fulfill God’s purpose in their lives, and they will not receive rewards, whereas the unsaved person will go to hell.
