On April first, a message was posted about Grieving and Quenching the Holy Spirit of God! Quenching the Spirit is like trying a knot in a water hose, which stops the flow of water.

Think:  What if your blood flow was cut off? For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul (Leviticus 17:11). Since we celebrated Jesus’ Resurrection yesterday, I find it appropriate to post this message today.

There is Power in the Blood- without the shedding And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission (Hebrews 9:22).  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

The Trinity at work- God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit (Three in ONE)

Power of the Spirit - Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit at His baptism, affirming His divine empowerment.- The Spirit’s ministry (empowerment in Jesus’ life). It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Satan Tempts Jesus - Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him (Mark 1:9-13).

Jesus’ public ministry- Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. [The devil left Jesus for a season]. Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.  And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all (Luke 4:14-15).

The Spirit empowered Jesus during His ministry- How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38).

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed to His Father for strength, which came from the Holy Spirit; He needed the empowerment to help Him during the crucifixion. He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will (Matthew 26:39).

The Holy Spirit was His Helper just as He is our Helper- The Holy Spirit helped Jesus to endure the most horrible situation that ever occurred in the history of Man. In this scripture, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are interacting (the Trinity or Triune God inseparable but function differently). God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit.

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.  And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one (1 John 5:7-8).

I am a living witness of one who bears witness of the Triune God!
