Lilies of the Field Compared to God’s People 10-11-26

Consider how much God values His creation!

While sitting on the sofa I was admiring my plants and especially the beautiful lily that I had been blessed with; and the Spirit of God gave me this message.

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? (Luke 12:27-28).

Lilies thrive better in well lit areas; we thrive better when our lights are shining brightly. Look at the beauty of the lily and how they have such value as one of God creations. We also thrive better when we allow the light of the SON to shine through us.

Source, Internet – Peace lilies thrive in slightly confined spaces and do not require large pots. They prefer being snug in their containers, which helps them flourish without the stress of excess space. Therefore, it is not necessary to repot them too often.

Example of God’s people: They should stay closely bonded (Psalm 133) but also need to expand their knowledge.

Like humans, some of leaves on the lily dies, but there is new growth. We pass on to be with the Lord but people are being born every day. This principle lines up with what God told Adam to do:  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28).

God also clothe us in His righteousness. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels (Isaiah 61:10).

Since we are made in His image (the highest of His creation), we should allow the example of the lily to encourage and motivate us to be more united, more closely connected, more bonded and unified. Please don’t let the lily put us to shame by its striking beauty and the way it is admired because it too was wonderfully created by God. He looked at His handiwork (creation) and said it was very good (Genesis 1:31).

Plant life only has a body yet look at the leave pointing upward as if they are praising God! The Lord God certainly has arrayed and fashioned us as His awesome creative masterpiece (Psalm 139:14, Ephesians 2:10). Therefore He is worthy to be worshipped in Spirit and in truth.
