What on Earth Are You Here For? 10-13-26
Discovering Your Purpose.
I love the book “Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren- read it several times with different groups. The book really was a challenge that changed my way of thinking. It set me on a path to know that this was all about God and not about me.
For what are you here?
To serve mankind with our specific and unique abilities which will fulfill God’s purpose in your life. That you will understand how God has given every one of His children a special gift, and not just the pastor. That you will be accountable for how you lived and used your gift/s. The Lord has graced/anointed each of His children with gifts to serve others with and to glorify Him.
Have you ever wondered why this is not taught in many churches? It could be a few reasons: The leaders don’t understand about the gifts, or maybe they know , but are not teaching because they want others to think they should look to him, or her.
Whatever the case, they will give account to God for not helping the people to grow and learn the principles (basics). The people of God will also give account for not striving to learn all they can about their walk with God.
There will be no excuses for the leaders or the other people of God. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).
This ministry helps our brothers and sisters to discover (learn) what they are called to do. Check us out- burnettministries.org
