The Blessed Hope
Death, or cessation of life is something we never get used to, and that is normal. If Adam had not disobeyed the Lord, we would not be in this predicament. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned (Romans 5:12).
Life is but a vapor - Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14). So, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).
Stop! There is HOPE!
If you haven’t considered your life and how certain death is, please think about it and take heed because as long as you have breath in your body, there is hope. But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion (Ecclesiastes 9:4).
When you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, keep hope alive! Sunday blessings!
