Thank God for all those who serve with a heart of compassion, rather than pitying someone, compassion is action. On this pre-thanksgiving day, I would like to thank the Lord God Almighty for being a witness to how He moved upon the hearts of so many people to share theirs resources that came from Him, for He is the Source of all things.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17).
It really is a blessing to see such an outpouring of Love through people from all walks of life unite together with the same mindset and with the same purpose. God does not forget; He is pleased, and there are rewards for doing good to others.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38).
The principle of giving unselfishly is reciprocal, everybody reaps what they sow, whether good or bad (Galatians 6:7).
There was a song back in the day: “Serving the Lord will payoff after awhile” When You serve God you will serve others, when you serve others, you are serving God. When the Word of God says it is more blessed to give- that means you don’t give to get in return.
However, the Word says whatever you give will be given to you. God cannot lie- “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19).
You can even put Him to the test (not tempt) and see won’t He do what He said –Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house and try Me now in this,”
says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). In the Old Testament they gave whatever their resources were; agriculture, animals, etc. (Leviticus 27:30-32). They gave their tithes to the priests who served in the temple; we give our tithes to our Great High Priest, Jesus Christ.
As you give thanks to the Lord for how He brought you out of a bleak situation due to unforeseen circumstances, be grateful for all the blessings that were and are being showered down from heaven on this pre-Thanksgiving eve. God has been good, He is good, and He will always be good. In other words, God is good all the time and all the time He is good! God is loving all the time and all the time He loves, for HE is LOVE! AND God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Grateful and blessed - my cup is running over; the Lord gave me some desires of my heart in the past few days, which was one of many (Psalm 37:3-4). I wrote this message around six am yesterday, and that afternoon a five-hundred dollar check was in my mailbox. I don’t beg or borrow, just trust and obey. My son [daughter] do not forget My law but let your heart keep My commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:1-4).
Sending LOVE!
Grateful and blessed.
