After moving to Lindenwold, I attended church that some family members attended; also, during my travels from North Carolina to New Jersey to visit family I attended several churches, including the one I started visiting on a regular basis.

Because the Covid-19 Pandemic was still at an all time high, I wanted to go to medical appointments, shopping, churches and so on, nearby. Management at the apartment complex had a meeting with the tenants and I met this lady who became my friend. She told me about a morning Bible Study class at another church nearby. I started going there and have been attending regularly for more than three years and have continued up until this present time.

Initially, I was attending two churches that were only a few blocks from each other; one service was at nine (their early service) and the other church had service at eleven, which was quite convenient for me.

I enjoyed messages from both pastors, but I also was blessed by both kinds of music each church; one church music was more praise and worship songs. The other church was traditional (more laid back) and they sang more hymns. It was a blessing to get both kinds of music.

In September 2023 I was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer; on November 9, 2023, the cancer was removed. Praise the Lord! During that time, the church that I am still attending reached out to me with the extension of God’s love that was amazing.

Although I am not a member because of some doctrinal belief, we LOVE one another, and it is agreed upon that we may not agree with each other on everything, Love is the Key.  No one is one hundred percent correct about everything, therefore being mature people, we put our differences aside and enjoy each other. In fact, we fellowship over the Word and a delicious meal prepared by our hostess.

Because there is a minor difference in some beliefs, and I do not believe or agree with some of their traditions, I will not become a member. Bottom line is we believe the same thing about salvation and that is what is most important, plus they seem to understand when I tell them my ministry goes beyond the church walls, which extends into the community and worldwide.

Community- I attend council meetings but politics is not of interest to me, yet it is good to know what is going on and have a voice. Within the community (my apartment complex and the Senior Center). I interact and author stories that are beneficial to others and when they see all the activities the seniors are involved in, prayerfully it will motivate others to get involved.

Worldwide- a friend wrote worldwide on my page yesterday and it is what was given to me in 2005 (Global) which means the same thing. Burnett Ministries is doing just what the Spirit showed me it would do. But it couldn’t and wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for people like you.
