Salvation and What it Means 3-25-25

Although many of my readers are saved (born again), or they consider themselves Christians, many of them do not have a full understanding of salvation. This week the messages are not only a challenge to the saints, but to provoke the readers into thinking about their walk with Christ and to gain a full understanding of what is included in salvation.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people – (this is our position), that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light – this is how we conduct ourselves by walking in holiness (2 Peter 2:9).

To the church of God, which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours (1 Corinthians 1:2).

You will read later that saints are NEVER called sinners in the Word of God. After Paul establishes that we are the called; everybody born is called to serve God’s purpose, but only those who are born again are THE called, with ministry to glorify God. Read Romans 8:28 in the KJV- many new translations leave out the important word “THE”

Holy, righteous, and saints are interchangeable words – these words mean that God has placed us in this position through Jesus Christ which cannot be changed. However, because we live in a fallen (sinful) world, our bodies are affected by it because the bodies will not be redeemed (perfect) until we reach heaven. Note: Remember that our bodies are not the real us, we must have something to house us while we’re on the earth.

It is possible for people to be saved, and do not understand what is included in the new life. It is apparent if anyone who is born again and say that they are still sinners, they are confused and if that is true then the persons cannot fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. They are stuck; not open to the truth, therefore there is no spiritual growth.

If a born again believer thinks he or she is still a sinner, it is impossible to witness to others. Jesus sent the disciples who were born again to witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).

How is a sinner witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ when he does not understand the Gospel? But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14). If anyone tries to witness and tell others they are still sinners, what is the need for the other sinner to be saved?

I will go into more detail in the next few days. If you are truly born again and don’t understand your salvation, I encourage you to read and get a better understanding. A lack of understanding does not affect your salvation, because you are still going to heaven, but it will affect your eternal status, your rewards when it comes to ruling and reigning with Christ.
