People suffer because they do not know the Truth, or they will not accept the truth (Hosea 4:6)
Knowing the Difference Between the Old Covenant (Old Testament), and the New and Better Covenant(New Testament)
Understanding the Law of Moses and Grace that Came Through Jesus Christ.
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through
Jesus Christ (John 1:17).
I searched the internet for a few years to find Biblical images that would line up with my messages. During that search, many of the images were erroneous! It’s similar to people who believe and say what is contrary to the scriptures. The danger is, they don’t know how to divide the Word, and they pass it on to others; and many are not open to the truth. This is especially true with some leaders.
Just recently something happened to alert me to stop posting images and to create my own words to go along with the messages. Of course it was the Lord who allowed this to happen.
I am writing about a specific image that I saw and it was in conjunction with my messages, again, this was God’s doing.
These were the two scriptures on the images:
1) For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14-15) 2)
2) And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:32).
Does this sound like a contradiction? Yes! To those who do not know how to rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
Under the law, forgiveness was conditional. Certain sacrifices were made to cover peoples’ sins.
AI Overview
Yes, under the Law of Moses, sacrifices were offered to atone for sins and to restore fellowship with God. These sacrifices, such as burnt offerings, sin offerings, and peace offerings, symbolized the need for purification and reconciliation, but they were not a complete removal of sin.
Betty
It took the precious sacrificial blood of the sinless Jesus Christ to cleanse people from their sins. The Law of Moses only revealed the peoples’ sins, but it could not cause one to be in relationship the Lord. Because God knew that it would take the blood of Jesus Christ, the Perfect Sacrifice to cleanse people from sin.
It is mind boggling that God Himself would not forgive sin because it was ordained before the foundation of the world that sins would be forgiven through Christ only. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).
I am reiterating this: BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER, EVEN AS GOD IN CHRIST FORGAVE YOU- Ephesians 4:32
Forgave you means when Christ suffered, died, and rose from the dead, all of our past, present, and future sins were forgiven!
