A few weeks ago, I wrote about “Faith Over Fear.” Another spiritual and physical test happened this past week. Now I am learning even more that these test will be ongoing the rest of my life, and yours too.

This is why we should never think we are more spiritual than we are or that we have arrived. Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12)

That will never happen as long  as we are trapped in these physical decaying bodies. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:52b-53).

Ever since I was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer, I hate to have a mammogram more than ever, as well as getting results from lab work for the kidneys and parathyroid. The reason being is because I am being watched closely by the oncologist (cancer doctor), the surgeon who performed the breast procedure, the endocrinologist (para thyroid), and the nephrologist (kidney specialist), a podiatrist (foot doctor), and a dentist.  I also have been blessed to see a nutritionist twice a year.

This is another story pertaining my experience with “Faith Over Fear”

After having my last labs, I had thoughts that were negative, and the Lord had my prayer partner sisters and others were there for me. These sisters and I have been interceding together for almost twenty-four years. We’ve seen the Lord worked so mightily in many lives when their prayers were answered.

My experience- The negative thoughts almost got to me. For instance, my late sister was also afflicted with kidney disease, which came to my mind. But God!

I say but the Lord God Almighty intervened, and The Spirit of God reminded me that even though my sister had kidney disease, which was not what caused her to go on to be with the Lord.

My brothers and sisters, we are human and we are subject to allow fear to overtake us, but we must not let the obstacles of our minds overrule our faith. Our minds can mess us up if we have negative thoughts. Remember this, as a person thinks in his heart, that’s who he is (Proverbs 23:7).

Although some of my diagnoses are something to be concerned with, I still stand on the Word of God when it comes to Isaiah 53:5, and 1 Peter 2:24, that by Jesus’ stripes I am healed.

The afflictions are only temporary. If we have the right mindset put faith will overrule all the afflictions (Psalm 34:19), we will walk in victory despite what goes on in these bodies of ours. When people look at me they don’t see any signs of sickness in my body, and for my seasoned senior age, the doctors think I am an amazing woman, and they tell me to keep doing what I am doing.

This testimony is for God’s glory and for the readers to be encouraged.

Ps. Thanks to each of you for your prayers, readership and support. It takes a lot of work to study, and search for truth to help others walk in victory.
