The Devil Hates Families 9-13-24
It is evident that the devil hates everything about God and everything He made. Therefore, it stands to reason why the devil hates families. He started from the very beginning with Eve. The devil influenced her to fall into the trap that would cause her to desire to rule over her husband. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you (Genesis 3:16).
In other words, his goal was to reverse the role; he did the same thing with the sexes. His influence changed the truth of God into a lie. Therefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen (Romans 1:24-25).
The divorce rate among Christians is increasing, including many pastors and other leaders. With that being so, how can they council others who are getting married or who have marital problems?
This is happening because the devil hates families and he does everything possible to tear them apart. Brothers and sisters are warring against each other, disrespect for parents, and cousins have grown distant from one another. I tell people that the Glue that held us together is gone; meaning our loved ones who had good moral values and believed in the family are no longer here.
Over the years things have gotten worse with the family unit. Remember the slogan: “a family that prays together stays together” – this is in line with the Word of God – Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers [sisters; family] to dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1).
According to the Word of God, which is always true, things will get progressively worse as we get closer to Jesus’ return, but as born again believers (children of the Most-High God), we are to make a difference regardless of what goes on in this cold, dark, and cruel world. Why? Because lights (bright lights) dispel darkness; light makes darkness disappear.
So, despite the devil hating families, we are commanded to love, because LOVE covers a multitude of sins. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
The devil is the author of hate but God is the Author of Love! Why not starting to love the hate out of people.
