The Ministry of God’s Angels (Part 2) 10-21-26

The Powerful Function of Angels.

God loves us so that He not only have His angels protecting us, but they minister in whatever way the Lord tells them to.

“Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists” (Acts 12:7).

“Then Peter came to himself and said, ‘Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen' (Acts 12:11).

“Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, ‘Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza (Acts 8:26).

“Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back (Revelation 12:7). Michael was the warrior archangel  (Jude, verse 9).

I don't have the slightest idea why people use the statement “The Lord rebuke you” This was between Michael and the devil who was disputing about Moses’ body whom the Lord God buried and no one knows where his body is (Deuteronomy 34:6).

History states that if the Israelites would have known where Moses; body was buried they would have dug it up, mummified and worshipped him.

“The angel said to him, ‘I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news (Luke 1:19).

“But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God (Luke 1:30).

“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people (Luke 2:10).

Ministering angels - Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1:14).

Angels ministered to Jesus after His forty day fast and being tempted by the devil- Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him (Matthew 4:11).

Jesus could ask His Father for twelve legion of angels- “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53)

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10).

Not only do angels rejoice over the salvation of sinners. They also worship God.

There are many scriptures written about Angels worshipping God- And one would call to another and say: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory”(Isaiah 6:3).

Since the angels worship God, how much we should worship God Almighty who made us in His image.

FYI- Angels are always revealed in the masculine gender. All of the angels names in the Bible are masculine.
