The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10). For those who are still young in the faith of those who may have been saved for a while, you may not know or understand the enemy’s cunning schemes, tactics, you are a major target.

“Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

1)      Steal: robbing people of truth and joy. Jesus wants our joy to be full.  Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive that your joy may be full (John 16:24).

2)      Destroy:  knowledge – My people are destroyed [suffer loss] for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children (Hosea 4:6). Do not allow the devil to do you like he did Eve, who questioned God. Did God really say, ‘You must not eat fruit from any tree in the garden’?” (Genesis 3:1a). This is what Jesus said to the religious leaders. You are the devil of your father, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it (John 8:44).

3)      Kill your testimony; You want other s to know about Jesus, but you keep falling into a deeply embedded root that you have not been delivered from yet. The demons were watching our activity and they will influence someone to be right where they can see what you are doing. Then these people will be blabbing all over the place; they will even use some Christians to gossip and the next thing you know, your business is spread allover the place. Also, when Christians are not being lights in any area, it is a turnoff to the unsaved.

Although the Word of God says: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10). You are no less to God than any other person, except for the evil mouths that have spoken against you. God stands with open arms when His children repent (1 John 1:9).

The Solution:

Keep this in mind, to avoid the devil having a foothold in your life, Keep your guard up. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh [near] to God, and he will draw nigh to you (James 4:7-8a). Caution; just don't say "If you resist the devil, he will flee" You must also submit yourselves to God- this is crucial!

Although you may have matured in your walk with the Lord, the enemy doesn’t give in or give up. When the devil tempted Jesus, even though he didn’t win, and it did not stop him,  he only left for a season. The devil continued to use various ways to get to Jesus until He went to the cross, died, was  buried and He was raised from the dead, the devil thought he had won, but Jesus got up with all power (Matthew 28:18).

What about you, how much of the Word do you know, and understand how to counteract the devils accusations, schemes? The Word of God is your weapon!
