Put the Word of God in it’s Proper perspective! If You follow Jesus,

you will walk in the Light. Trust God, believing that

He always knows best

This is a continuation from Part One. I was told by the Spirit to learn the culture, language, and the history of the people, which is who is the Word speaking to and about. Although all of the Word is important because we can learn from the principle, it may not be for us.

Example: the ceremonial and dietary laws were done away with.  As I was searching as always for confirmation, I found this.

AI Overview

To "rightly divide the Word," as mentioned in 2 Timothy 2:15, means to understand and apply God's Word accurately, distinguishing between different aspects of His plan for different groups of people (e.g., Israel vs. the Church) and different dispensations (e.g., Law vs. Grace). This involves studying the Bible to identify the specific audience and context of each passage.

Challenge/questions –

1 John 3:9 All who have this hope in Christ purifies himself? Remember this, we have already been positionally purified (holy and righteous), but we are required to walk it out through the process of sanctification, this means to walk in the newness of life. We are new creation because God made us that way, but it is our responsible for working out our own salvation (Philippians 2:12).

The Word of God never says we will not sin; it says if we sin, we have an Advocate [Jesus Christ- our Intercessor]- (1 John 2:1), and even with that being so, we are not considered “sinners” we are saints! For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again (Proverbs 24:16A). God also helps him up (Psalm 37:23-24).

1 John 3:6 No one who continues in sin has seen Him or know Him. This means getting to know Christ fully (becoming spiritually mature)! That comes with being intimate with Christ by studying His Word; that’s spending time with Him. How do we fully know each other unless we have regular fellowship with one another?

Hebrews 10:26

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins?

Whoever departs from the faith, means they were never born again- this is called apostacy. Judas Iscariot was an apostate; he walked with Christ and the disciples but he was never born again (John 17:12). The disciples had no idea that Judas was not saved, but Jesus knew. That’s why we must be careful judging others; only God knows the heart.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1).

No one who is truly born again departs from the faith. Whoever is predestined to salvation is sealed by the Spirit of God, and the seal cannot be broken. Also, since God called us into salvation, we cannot undo what the Lord God has done.
