How Will God be Glorified? 1-5-26
Many things that were not accomplished in 2025; will the same thing happen in 2026? In other words, how many doors of opportunities were opened and they ended up being wasted opportunities?
Question – did you miss the opportunity to tell someone that Jesus loves them? Did you see someone who had a need and you passed them by? Did you ask someone if they had a relationship with Jesus Christ?

We are commanded by God to walk in the purpose He has for each of us, if not we are doing what God has called us to we are wasting opportunities. The first command from Jesus to His disciples was to GO- take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to redeem a lost people (Matthew 28:19-20). Once we miss opportunities, that same door may not be open again. That’s why it is imperative that we walk through those open doors.
We cannot make up for lost opportunities, but we can start now and continue to walk through those open doors. I don’t know why some people refuse to do the Lord’s will; there could be several reasons- a big one may be FEAR, which leads to not being bold, no courage, one may not feel that they are adequate enough. Whatever the reason. Ask the Lord to help and the Spirit will empower you to do what is necessary to walk through the open doors.
In Paul’s case there were many adversaries- just as we will have, yet Paul depended on God’s grace which was sufficient regardless of the situation, and so should we. This is what happened to Paul, yet he did not waste opportunities. For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
Paul even asked the Lord to take the thorn from his flesh: And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet [strike, mistreat] me, lest I be exalted above measure.
Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:1-10).
For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. And if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear; for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do (1 Corinthians 16:9-10).
Let’s look at this huge word; FEAR- Paul knew how fear could paralyze someone that’s why He wrote: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love (1 John 4:18). In other words, those are in fear are not mature when it come to Love. FYI- I need help too.
To know God is to love Him, to trust God is to love Him. It can also be said like this: to love God is to know Him, and to love God is to trust Him. This does not happen overnight, it takes time.
What to take away from this message- Please don’t miss opportunities to witness and minister; when God opens the door, He is with you, and His powerful Spirit lives in you. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). F
