God is allowing, exposing, taking the covers off, pulling up the dirt that swept under the carpet, the skeletons in the closet etc. to surface, which professed Christians leaders are doing. It is a shame and disgrace, but we are not to be alarmed, because the Word of God speaks of a falling away.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man [antichrist] of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3). This lets us know how close we are to Jesus’ return and then the tribulation.

These are some reasons why there is a shift, but the root comes from Ephesians 4:11 And He [Jesus Christ] Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.

Stop!

There are some denominational churches that some things stopped after the church was founded. Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,  in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,  in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Ephesians 2:20-22).

That does not make sense! Why would God stop anything that was necessary for spiritual growth of His people. Every part of the body of Christ is necessary to make the body whole (1 Corinthians, chapter 12).

Some of these same denominations use Reverend as a title for pastors which is another lie. Jesus called the five-fold ministry offices to be the main leaders in charge, with the role of pastor being the head leader of the congregation.

Do you see how many churches are falling apart because one person is in charge of the entire congregation functioning in a one man role. Then there are those who have campus pastors, associates, etc., but they are not the five ministry offices.

The problem is that men came up with their own rules.

Didn’t the Word of God say?

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,  says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Let’s go back to the Bible; the truth the Word of God, even if it takes starting all over again, if you are a five ministry office leader. Or it just may be that these people are not called for whatever reason. They could be in this to gain popularity, too be looked up to, for money etc. Who gives anyone thee right to call themselves into ministry when this should be God’s doing only.

That’s the reason so many professed believers are double minded, including some leaders who think they are mature, but should go back and start off doing what God has called them to do.

For though by this time, you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles [revelations] of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food (Hebrews 5:12), not what some person told them or even if they feel that’s their call.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:2-8).

It is written in Ephesians 4:11-16 how spiritual growth takes place and people will not not be tossed about because of bad doctrine, false teaching and so on.
